During the Summer 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, more than 2 million meals were served at Stadium Australia and more than half of them were catered functions that Sodexho Australia, the venue's caterer, was responsible for coordinating. Events ranged from sponsor dinners for 20 to banquets that served thousands. Managing such a huge volume meant that the Sodexho staff had to work at maximum efficiency.
